GOSPEL
God loves us so much that he sent his only son to die for our sins, and then rose from death to transform us. The Gospel informs us about everything we do and who we are, at the core of it is the realization that our hope is not what we do for God, but what God has done for us. At Calvary Baptist Church we know that we are imperfect people, but an imperfect people who have been redeemed and transformed by the sacrificial love of Jesus.

COMMUNITY
In a world that can be isolating and fragmented, this makes the church a breath of fresh air. God has hard-wired a truth deep within us: It is not good for us to be alone. We are designed not only to live in community but also to be the most fruitful there. To put is simply, we go as a community, inviting people into community. The Gospel unites us regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, class, or history. At Calvary Baptist Church wherever you are in life there is a place for you.

CULTURE
We want to have a positive influence in the world and as a church we strive to engage with every level of our culture to see it transformed by Jesus. We seek to represent the truth of the Scriptures to the world in discerning and creative ways.

FAMILY
When God blesses parents with children, they are given the privilege of making the disciples and helping them take on the values of the Kingdom, within the context of the wider community of faith. Calvary Baptist Church is a great place for families to nurture children in walking with God. Jesus valued every every child, and so should we.

 

CHRIST-FOCUSED
Everything we do at Calvary Baptist Church comes back to Jesus Christ. We know that Jesus’ purpose was to show us how to live life the way God designed.

 

BIBLICALLY FOUNDED

God’s Word is crucial because it provides us wisdom for life. It shows us who God is, why we were created and how to experience His love. At our gatherings we will creatively and intentionally teach so the bible is tangible and enables each of us to take steps toward Christ.

INVOLVEMENT & EQUIPPING

You are at your best when you are involved in loving and serving others. When we too are refreshed. We want to be known by our generosity with our time, our relationships and our resources. We develop people and get them involved in ministry so that they can grow, serve, and play their part in the mission God has given us.

 

URGENCY
Christ is coming again, we know this for certain. So we do things with a sense of urgency, because people die every day without knowing the truth of salvation.
